Precision Manufacturing

At Advanced Design Consultants we can generate or receive 3D

models in various formats for manufacture.

We have in-house precision tool making capabilities from CNC to conventional precision machines.

We can also rapid prototype products using our own inhouse stereolithography

(SLA) "3D Systems" SLA viper machine.

The stereolithography (SLA) process

The SLA process is a method of directing ultraviolet laser
radiation onto a vat of polymer resin (liquid plastic). After being cured in an
ultraviolet oven, each SLA model is then hand-finished to your specifications.
This includes anything from a rough-edged model to a glossy, painted real-life
replica, depending on your needs.

The end product is an exact physical model, or SLA prototype, of
the 3D drawing providing designers, engineers, manufacturers, sales managers, marketing
directors and other prospective customers the opportunity to handle an SLA
model of the new product. In this way, design iterations can be made quickly
and inexpensively, guaranteeing companies the best product possible, in the
shortest time possible.

Adanced Design Consultants can offer customers the opportunity to
manufacture one off models or the option of producing small batches of models
which can be used for the actual intended design purpose. Research has shown
that this option is more attractive to smaller companies who cannot invest in
expensive tooling.

SLA Prototyping advantages

- If you require sharp definition and the finest detail then
this is the product for you, each layer is formed with a laser resolution of
0.10mm with a viper machine

- Sharper definition, than cheaper alternative system on the market (V-flash,
Z- Machine etc)

- Robust parts that can be used for actual intent and verification purposes

- SLA prototypes can be painted, polished, machined, tapped etc

- Simple SLA jigs & fixtures can be produced quickly and inexpensively

- Inexpensive SLA Patterns can be produced for sand casting

- Don’t be disappointed with your parts use a proven SLA prototyping system

- Quality parts at an affordable price and fast turnaround time

SLA Material

WaterShed XC is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer that
produces strong, tough, water-resistant, ABS-like parts. Most importantly parts
created with WaterShed 11122 are nearly colorless, and look more like true,
clear engineered plastic.

Time & cost to produce a SLA prototype

The time and cost to produce an SLA prototype can vary depending
on size and shape, but in general a small part can be produced in hours,
cleaned and prepared for shipment soon after. At Advanced Design Consultants we
understand that time is important and thats why we can manufacture parts over
night and weekends to meet your needs.
